MEET OUR TUTORS
WHO WE ARE
We are a group of 4 engineering students who all study in UCC together. We each have over 2 years experience in giving grinds and have always received positive feedback. We decided to come together to create a platform through which we can give online grinds to groups of students in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Applied Maths.

Kieran O'Reilly
Hi, my name is Kieran and I'm one of the tutors here at H1 Tutoring. I am currently in my third year of studying Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering in UCC. I have been giving grinds to various different people over the past 2 years and have always tried to do my best to ensure the student understands fully the topic being explained. I believe a practical approach is the best way to learn by doing examples, figuring out what you do/don't know and then asking questions.
Luke Crowley
Hi, my name is Luke, and I’m a tutor here at H1 Tutors. I’m on my way to becoming a Process and Chemical Engineer in UCC. I have been giving grinds for over 2 years now and am a strong believer in learning via understanding, and not by memory. In my subjects of Maths, Chemistry, and Physics, taking a hands on approach is key, and asking questions is the only way to make sure a full comprehension of a topic.

Alice O'Driscoll
Hi, my name is Alice and I am one of the tutors here at H1 Tutoring and I am in my third year of process and Chemical Engineering in UCC. I received 613 points in the 2018 leaving cert, including H1s in Maths, Physics and Applied Maths. Over the last two years, I have been giving grinds to students of all levels and ages. I would consider myself an outgoing and talkative person which I find is very helpful when explaining logical topics. Any area of difficulty students will be having will be focused more on in the sessions. I will mostly focus on exam and pre questions, as well as sample questions. I will also provide concise comprehensive notes.
Cillian Desmond
Hi, I’m Cillian and I’m a tutor at H1 Tutoring. I am a third year Process & Chemical Engineering student in UCC. I have been giving Leaving and Junior cert grinds in Maths, Chemistry and Physics since I finished school. Chemistry was always my favourite subject and was the reason I decided to study Chemical engineering. My goal in giving grinds is to help students understand and learn topics they find difficult. H1 tutoring gives students an opportunity to learn things in a contrasting way to school which I think is very beneficial for the leaving and junior cert exams.
